ROLES AND CRITERIA

Role: Team Leader

Team Leaders will play a vital role in executing Mass Deployment while leading and mentoring Team Members and volunteers. The experience and guidance of a Team Leader will be instrumental in fostering a positive environment and ensuring that all participants feel valued and supported. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist and lead by example to support Team Members and community volunteers with positivity and understanding.  

  • Adapt to last-minute changes and challenges with flexibility and a solutions-oriented mindset. 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for TMF staff.
  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all participants, promoting teamwork and collaboration.

  • Share insights and experiences to help guide Team Members and volunteers through Mass Deployment. 

  • Attend post-service meetings daily. 

  • Team leaders must be available for training prior to Mass Deployment. Training will be held virtually, and details will be shared following acceptance as a Team Leader.

Team Leader Criteria: 

  • Participation: Must have attended a service project (either TMF or TMC-hosted) from January 2024 until present.

  • Previous Experience: Must have attended a previous Mass Deployment, or hosted an Operation Legacy or TMC service project.

  • Adaptability: Capable of adjusting to changing circumstances while maintaining a positive outlook. 

  • Positive Mindset: Has an encouraging demeanor that fosters a collaborative environment. 

  • Availability and Hours: Willingness to commit to early mornings and late evenings, as needed, to achieve project goals. There will also be a few required meetings prior to Mass Deployment to prepare you to lead Team Members (typically held on a weekday at 7 or 8 PM EST).

Role: Team Member 

Team Members will be an essential part of the Mass Deployment team executing service projects and collaborating with community volunteers to make a positive impact. The enthusiasm and support of Team Members will help ensure that projects run smoothly and that all participants have a rewarding experience. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Contribute to the execution of service projects, bringing creativity and enthusiasm to the team. 

  • Engage with and support community volunteers during Mass Deployment projects and activities, ensuring everyone feels welcome and involved. 

  • Collaborate with fellow Team Members and volunteers to execute project tasks effectively and efficiently. 

  • Maintain a positive attitude, creating an enjoyable atmosphere for all participants.

  • Provide hands-on support and assistance to volunteers as needed, fostering teamwork and cooperation. 

  • Complete program pre-work and training. Training will be virtual, and details will be shared following acceptance as a Team Member. 

Team Member Criteria: 

  • Background: Open for all to apply but priority will be given to veterans, families of the fallen, and other volunteer leaders. 

  • Participation: Must have engaged in a TMF or TMC event from January 2024 until present. 

  • Adaptability: Capable of adjusting to changing circumstances while maintaining a positive outlook. 

  • Positive Mindset: Willing to work closely with others and maintain a fun and upbeat environment while making a positive community impact. 

  • Availability: Willing to commit to early mornings and late evenings, as needed, to achieve project goals.
