Travis Manion Foundation will be traveling to Bozeman, MT for a 5-day expedition, July 11-July 15, where teen survivors will focus on their personal and unique character and leadership development while also serving at a community level. Prior engagement with TMF is not required to apply.
Although there is no cost to attend this incredible opportunity, we do ask that all applicants be 14-18 years of age and at least 18 months out from their loss.
MONTANA EXPEDITION OVERVIEW: Teens alongside TMF Staff and Veteran Mentors will spend 5 days in Montana developing their character and leadership skills through TMF's Character Does Matter curriculum. Participants will work together to create a long-lasting local impact by completing two separate service projects during the week. The first will focus on supporting a local military non profit in Bozeman and the second will support conservation efforts at Yellowstone National Park.
Our hosts, Warriors & Quiet Waters, will guide the group on an outdoor fly fishing experience. Participants will have the unique opportunity to learn from professional, licensed fly fishing guides (all gear will be provided on-site).
Prior to coming together in person on July 11th, TMF will be hosting two zoom sessions for our expedition group, where participants and TMF staff can begin building relationships and prepare for the expedition. These virtual events will take place on:
