JOIN TMF VOLUNTEERS AT COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECTS NATIONWIDE
Operation Legacy Service Projects are volunteer-led efforts that fill pressing needs in communities nationwide. Organized and led by local veterans and TMF Chapters, each community service project is conducted in honor of a fallen hero. Food drives, beautification projects like beach or park clean-ups, and efforts to encourage or protect vulnerable citizens allow Spartan volunteers to positively impact communities and inspire others to adopt an “If Not Me, Then Who…” spirit. Service projects are held throughout the year with focused efforts each quarter around national days of observance.
FOCUSED SERVICE EFFORTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR
Although Operation Legacy service projects are held by TMF Chapters, schools, and other Spartan volunteers throughout the year, TMF encourages focused efforts each quarter. Spartan leaders and volunteer-led chapters host projects nationwide around Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service in January; Memorial Day in May; Back to School Character Days in late summer; and Veterans Day in November. About 250+ service projects take place annually, empowering Spartan leaders to invest nearly 30,000 volunteer service hours back into their communities.
